Terms of Use
Effective July 31, 2026 · Version 2026-07-31.baseline
NovelVerse is a free, non-commercial technology demonstration for reading and writing web novels. These Terms describe what you may do here, what you keep, and what we may do in return.

Who operates NovelVerse
NovelVerse is operated by Dave Zachary Macarayo, an individual based in the Philippines. NovelVerse is not a registered company, and nothing here creates one.
By creating an account or continuing to use NovelVerse after these Terms change, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account.
What NovelVerse is, and is not
NovelVerse is an open beta of a technology demonstration. It is provided free of charge and is not a commercial service.
There is nothing to buy. NovelVerse does not sell subscriptions, take payments, process refunds, or operate any purchase, conversion, or transfer surface. Any page that appears to ask you for payment is not part of NovelVerse.
Because this is a demonstration, features may change or disappear, and availability is not guaranteed. Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for activity that happens under your account.
One person, one account. Creating additional accounts to evade a restriction, to inflate a ranking signal, or to obtain additional AI allowances is a breach of these Terms.
What you write stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you write, upload, or publish on NovelVerse. We claim no ownership of your manuscripts, chapters, comments, artwork, or profile content.
To operate the service you grant NovelVerse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, adapt, and display your content, and to send it to the service providers listed in the Privacy Notice, strictly for the purpose of running NovelVerse and its features for you and the audience you choose. This licence exists so the product can function — it does not permit us to sell your work, and it ends for new uses when you delete the content or your account.
You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that publishing it here does not infringe anyone else's rights.
AI features and Credits
NovelVerse includes AI features: Nova search and chat, writing assistance in the editor, and generated audio narration. Using them sends the relevant text or audio to third-party model providers. The Privacy Notice explains exactly what is sent, to whom, and what those providers may do with it.
Access to those features is metered in Credits. Credits are a free usage allowance, nothing more. They are not currency, not property, not a purchasable good, and have no cash value. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred, converted between classes, or redeemed for anything.
Credits are granted per calendar month in UTC and expire at the end of the month in which they were granted. Unused Credits do not roll over. Allowance sizes are set by the operator and may change at any time as capacity allows.
AI output is generated by statistical models. It can be wrong, derivative, or unsuitable. You are responsible for what you choose to keep and publish, and for checking that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Acceptable use
The following are not permitted anywhere on NovelVerse, including in private drafts and messages:
- Child sexual abuse material, or sexual content involving minors in any form. This is reported and preserved as Republic Act 11930 requires.
- Content that incites violence, harasses or targets a person, or promotes self-harm.
- Impersonating another person, or misrepresenting your relationship to one.
- Uploading work you do not have the rights to publish.
- Automated scraping, bulk extraction, or any attempt to exhaust or evade platform limits, AI allowances, or abuse controls.
- Probing, disrupting, or attempting to gain unauthorised access to NovelVerse or to the accounts of others.
Moderation, restrictions, and appeals
NovelVerse may remove content, limit how far it reaches, restrict an account's ability to participate, or suspend an account when these Terms are broken or when a legal obligation requires it.
Where a restriction applies to you, you receive a notice explaining what happened and a link to appeal it. Appeals remain reachable even while an account is otherwise restricted.
Automated safety systems screen uploaded images before publication. They can be wrong; that is what the appeal path is for.
Ending your use
You can request account deletion at any time from Settings. Deletion begins after a 14-day grace period, during which signing in cancels it.
NovelVerse may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, or where required by law.
No warranty, and limits on liability
NovelVerse is provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind. There is no uptime commitment and no guarantee that content, drafts, or generated output will be preserved.
To the fullest extent Philippine law permits, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost content or profits, or for any amount exceeding what you have paid to use NovelVerse — which, this being a free demonstration, is nothing. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be revised. When a revision is material, you are asked to accept the new version before continuing to use features that require acceptance; reading, exporting your data, requesting deletion, and appealing a restriction stay available while you decide.
Each published version carries a version identifier, and NovelVerse records which version you accepted and when.
