About NovelVerse

Who runs it

NovelVerse is operated by Dave Zachary Macarayo, an individual based in the Philippines. NovelVerse is not a registered company, has no staff, and no organisation stands behind it.

That is worth stating plainly rather than leaving to inference, because it determines what you can reasonably expect: Dave Zachary Macarayo is the only person who reads what arrives here, and the service is maintained alongside everything else one person has to do.

What it is for

NovelVerse is a place to read serialised fiction and a place to write it. Readers get a library, reading progress that follows them between devices, and a way to find work through people rather than only through rankings.

Writers get a manuscript-shaped editor rather than a text box: chapters, revisions, a continuity reference for the details that are easy to lose across a long book, and collaboration with the people they choose.

Nova is the AI layer over both — search that understands a description instead of only keywords, a chat companion that can answer questions about what you are reading without spoiling further than you have read, and assistance inside the editor for writers who want it.

Open beta, and what that means

NovelVerse is in open beta. It is free, there is nothing to buy, and there is no plan to introduce a purchase surface during the beta. AI features are metered by a free monthly allowance rather than sold.

Beta also means the honest warnings apply. Features may change or be withdrawn, there is no uptime commitment, and no guarantee that content or generated output is preserved. Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose — the account export in Settings produces one.

It is built on free and trial tiers of third-party services, and that shapes real trade-offs, particularly for AI. The Privacy Notice sets out exactly which providers your writing can reach and what they are permitted to do with it, rather than implying a single provider with favourable terms.

What you keep

You keep ownership of everything you write here. NovelVerse claims no ownership of your manuscripts, chapters, comments, or artwork, and claims no authorship of anything produced with AI assistance — those rights are yours to hold or to lack under the law that applies to you, and nothing on this platform changes them.

The licence you grant exists so the product can display your work to the audience you choose and send it to the providers listed in the Privacy Notice. It does not permit selling your work, and it ends for new uses when you delete the content or the account.

The policies

Four documents govern use of NovelVerse: the Terms of Use, the Privacy Notice, the published Copyright policy, and — when it publishes — the Community Guidelines. Each carries an effective date and a version identifier; NovelVerse records which version of the Terms and Privacy Notice you accepted, while Copyright remains a public policy rather than an acceptance document.

Where a policy has not published yet, it is absent from this list rather than linked as a placeholder.
